Campus Ministry

St Paul’s sponsors the United Church Campus Ministry at the University of Alberta.

As the title indicates, one of the important goals of this ministry is to be with students, staff and faculty as they wrestle with the questions of faith in living.  Rather than getting a “face lift”, we recommend a “faith lift” to improve your life, and not make you look younger but  give you the energy for meeting the challenges and embracing the beauty of Life!

 Activities and Initiatives

Faith Lift provides small group programs for students, staff and faculty.

Cell groups provide, study, prayer, support and action.

Bag lunches bring faculty and others together with students to discuss faith and Academics.

"Dinner Out" provides a hearty home cooked meal for starving students.

"Just Java" is promoting justice through encouraging the sale of Fair Trade Coffee on campus.

In addition, Chaplain Denise Davis Taylor is available to students, staff and faculty to talk with confidentially and to act as a resource for people exploring issues of faith and spirituality, or simply wanting to connect with the broader church community in Edmonton.

Faith Lift is part of the Chaplain’s Association on campus which includes 9 Christian denominations, Muslim and Jewish chaplains working together on projects of mutual concern.
