Wondering About Cell Groups?

Cell Groups are small groups of people who gather around a specific topic, provide mutual support through intentional community building, prayer and shared project beyond the group. As the cell is the most basic unit of the human body, Cell Groups are designed to be the most basic unit of a congregation. Cell Groups generally focus on a specific topic (such as Christian parenting or a book study or spirituality in the workplace) or come together for a common purpose (such as providing pastoral care or sharing music during worship). Cell Groups have a set timeline with opportunities for members to exit or enter at specific times. Cell Groups allow members of the congregation to get to know one another outside of the context of Sunday worship and provide marvelous opportunity for the Holy Spirit to move amongst its members.

Faith Groups are Beginning in May!
1.
Faith and the Environment - Wednesday evenings - lead by Heather Mackenzie and Justin Wheler
2.
Exploring the Christian faith through understanding other faiths - Tuesday evenings
      - led by Ian MacKenzie with Beth MacKenzie
3.
Actively Faithful - Sunday mornings before worship - led by Dawn MacDonald

All three are ready and waiting for participants like you!  Each group will meet once a week for 4 consecutive weeks.  Sign up after worship.

The Actively Faithful group is a great one for anyone who is able to walk/bike for about an hour.  Kids in strollers/bike trailers are most welcome so families...come on out!  Here is a chance to connect with some church family you may not know as well AND learn and grow in faith.  Sign up sheets are in the Friendship Room.  Feel free to contact leaders or a member of the Spiritual Nurture group for more details.  If you would like to lead a group and have a topic idea -  its not too late to get a group going and Spiritual Nurture can help!

Exploring our Christian Faith through understanding other Faiths:
Sometimes we come to know more about ourselves by coming to understand others better. This Faith Group, offered on 4 Tuesday Evenings in May, will focus on deepening our understanding of our own Christian Faith by looking at how some of our Christian beliefs and practices differ from other faiths of many of our neighbours.   In a brief format we will look at other faiths such as Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism, hopefully one for each of the 4 days we will meet for in May.
